K.I.T.T. On-Board Computer Center Console
This is a purely private project...
Unfortunately, I don't own a Trans Am. So how can you bring the KITT vibe into your own car? That was the reason for this development: The solution: A trip computer as a center console attachment that, when switched off, looks like a sports car.
Functions
- Center console on-board computer (with ESP32 + mobile phone + server + 2 APIs)
- AI-powered voice mode (listening, processing, and speech output)
- Surveillance mode (scanner) with motion detection and direct voice output
(pre-made, matching sounds without AI time delay)
- Interior temperature gauge (actual temperature)
Note: The vehicle's climate control system only displays the target temperature, not the actual temperature.
- Interior humidity
- G-force direction indicator with intensity
- G-force value display
- Storage of the maximum G-force value and output upon exit
- Music player (KITT sounds and various music tracks)
Information for interested parties:
I named the center console "AI77". G-forces are acceleration forces, which also include deceleration forces and gravitational forces. The G-forces displayed here are the four directions from the horizontal: right, left, front, and back. However, because the car is never perfectly level, some forces are always displayed that result from the Earth's gravity, g = 9.81 m/s². Due to the very shallow angle, forces ranging from 0 to approximately 0.060 m/s² remain.
