The idea for the cube arose from two desires: the "play style," i.e., for people who enjoy playing and games, and the "escape style." Anyone who doesn't know which combination locks work has far too many possible combinations. This fake effect was further enhanced by the fake hinges. Strangers can't tell where the real door is. Your cube safe is protected by a real 3-digit combination lock and numerous fake dials and hinges.
The edges of the cube were also concealed by the cut and structure.
